About Aaron
I am a college student (graduate of May 2025) with a focus in game development. I have over 2000+ hours within Unity, Blender, and other software related. My main focus is on programming but also love to teach practices within 3D modeling and animation. I have experience leading a team during game jams, college modules, and other events! I also participated in Spring Comic Con 2025 with a demo of my thesis project! I am an avid gamer and a true believer that games can, and have, impacted lives of many for the better.

Forget about scratch, lets move up in the programming world and tackle Unity! I will teach and assist you in understanding the Unity Engine, programming practices and basic game development to get you started!
This class is an excellent step into the game development world, be it a beginner programmer or one who has dabbled. I will start by getting your current knowledge and go from there! No experience is needed and I will guide you through the whole thing.
There are 3 main fields I can teach you in:
1. Games Programming; An educational approach to understanding scripting, use cases and differences between components within Unity.
2. Game Design; How to approach the feeling of the game, be it dark and rainy or bright and colorful, all styles are creative!
3. Basic Art/Modeling; Want to make your own assets? No problem! Ill walk you through the basics with free software such as Blender!
The typical length is between 45m -> 1h 30m but we can always discuss how long you wish for the classes to be! Again, I look forward to learning the best teaching style for you and to start you on your game making journey.

Details
What to expect during the free lesson?
We will go over what your desired outcome would be while learning! Be it a well developed GDD (Game Design Document) for you to go off with, develop further and make a game with. Or, create a prototype scene/level that shows of functionality and where the game may go in the future, a stepping stone for you to launch your own independent development!
We will also discuss what parts you would like to focus on! Programming, Design, 3D modeling or animation. Whether you want to focus on one or all of them, I am more than happy to assist in your learning journey!
With that, if you think my lessons suit you, we will go over what programs and software to download, any basic learning material that might come in handy (all will be free) and what to we will go over in the first official lesson!
