About Oluwakemi

Hello! My name is Oluwakemi, and I am passionate about teaching English, communication, and writing because I believe strong language skills open the door to endless opportunities. I have experience teaching children, teens, and adults — from helping young learners fall in love with storybooks, to guiding students in improving their grammar and writing, to coaching professionals in clear and confident communication. Currently, I am also interning with a publishing company in the United States, where I conduct interviews and work with content. This hands-on experience strengthens my teaching by connecting real-world communication with classroom learning. My lessons are practical, engaging, and tailored to your goals — whether that’s exam preparation, conversational English, or developing creative and academic writing skills. I focus on building your confidence step by step while making learning enjoyable. Outside of teaching, I love reading, creative writing, storytelling, and fashion — all of which bring a unique spark to my lessons. I look forward to working with you and helping you not only improve your English but also enjoy the journey of learning it!

About the lesson

I believe every learner is unique, so my teaching style is student-centered, interactive, and practical. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts, not just memorize them, by connecting lessons to real-life situations and encouraging active participation.

Techniques & Teaching Methodology

I use a mix of explanations, examples, storytelling, role-play, and hands-on practice (depending on the subject).

For younger learners, I keep lessons fun and engaging through games, visuals, and creative exercises.

For adults and teens, I emphasize discussion, critical thinking, and application to build confidence and independence.

I always adjust my pace and methods to suit the student’s learning style — whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic.

Lesson Duration

A typical lesson lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s age, attention span, and subject matter. Longer sessions are available for advanced learners or practical training.

My Qualifications & Experience

Over 14 years of teaching experience across Sunday School, fashion training, literacy programs, and tutoring.

Strong background in English, communication, and storytelling through my work as a storybook vendor and publishing intern.

Experienced at teaching diverse learners — from children to adults.

Who My Lessons Are For

Children (5+): Reading, writing, English grammar, storytelling.

Teenagers & Adults: English language, communication skills, public speaking, creative writing, and academic support.

Skill-based Learners: Beginners to intermediate fashion design students (sewing, pattern-making, design creativity).

My ultimate goal is to create a comfortable, encouraging, and inspiring learning space where students not only achieve academic success but also gain confidence in their abilities.
