About Elica
I have been tutoring part-time, on a paid and volunteer basis, for over 7 years. I started teaching English and Algebra help in high school for 4 years, while also working as an impromptu teaching assistant for both of those teachers.
I've also had over 5 years of babysitting experience which included homework help and college preparations. I've also worked as an Upward Bound Tutor for 3 years during college and helped high school students with their own studies and help them to apply and transition into college.

I curate customized lesson plans for each student (middle school through college) based on their need and level of knowledge.
Depending on the need, lessons can be as simple as prepping for essays by analyzing the prompt and creating a framework or as complex as breaking down the parts of literature that are involved in poetry and developing ways to transform writing.
I consider myself a fun tutor that strives to help each person find their own writing voice.
