Thematic Conversation Framework (45 Minutes) Objective Boost student confidence, fluency, and vocabulary through guided, pre-planned conversations. --- Weekly Conversation Plan (Example) Day Before / Pre-Conversation Preparation Theme Announcement: Share the topic (e.g., Travel, Technology in Daily Life, Cultural Traditions). Guided Notes Handout: Key vocabulary (8–12 words/phrases) Useful sentence starters 3–5 sample questions Brief reading or opinion paragraph (optional) Pronunciation tips or grammar highlight --- Day Of (45-Minute Conversation Breakdown) Time Activity 0–5 Warm-up: Casual chat / review of vocabulary 5–10 Student presents 1–2 minute prepared intro on topic 10–30 Guided Q&A: Open conversation using sample prompts 30–40 Role-play / scenario / debate 40–45 Feedback & wrap-up (pronunciation, grammar, vocab) --- Example Topic: “Travel” Key Vocabulary: Wanderlust, itinerary, budget travel, sightseeing, jet lag, etc. Sample Questions: 1. What’s your dream travel destination and why? 2. Do you prefer solo or group travel? 3. How has technology changed the way people travel? Sentence Starters: “In my opinion, travelling is important because…” “One of the best trips I’ve ever had was…” Mini Task: Prepare to describe a past or dream trip in 2 minutes. --- Why This Works Pre-planning reduces anxiety.
