About Maria
Maria is an experienced live and session singer from Mexico City. She has recorded background vocals for the Latin Spanish version of Disney series like The Lion Guard, Roadster Racers, Phineas and Ferb, Hamster and Gretel, Alice's Wonderland Bakery, Zombies, The 7D, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, the movie Beauty and the Beast (2018 live-action), King Shakir, and more. She has also recorded background vocals for other films including animated and live-action productions. She has had the opportunity to sing background vocals for major Mexican artists like María José in sold-out shows with a 10,000-seat capacity in venues like the iconic Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City and Pabellón M in Monterrey, Mexico, among others.
Maria has a BA in Vocal Performance in Contemporary Music, and a BA in Songwriting from Academia de Música Fermatta in Mexico City. She took the Berklee Course in Composition and Production of Commercial Music. She has taken other courses in Short Story Writing, Lyrics and Vocal Production, Psychopedagogic Teaching Techniques for Music Teachers, and Voice Technique. She did one year of community work writing orchestra arrangements for the Youth Orchestra of Mexico City.
She has worked as a vocal coach for 10 years in places like Academia de Música Fermatta (2014, teaching music university students), International Vocal Training (vocal coach 2014-2021, specialized courses 2020-2025), and private voice lessons. She has done Vocal Direction and Vocal Arrangements for the show and band Dragamia, background vocal arrangements and direction for the show Back to the Legacy (2019), among multiple other recordings and shows for independent artists.
Maria is working on releasing music of her own. She has basic training in dance, guitar, ukulele, and keyboard and speaks and sings in English and Spanish.
In her spare time, she loves traveling, writing, and dancing.

We begin by evaluating your voice and goals to create a customized plan tailored to your needs. A typical lesson includes:
Vocal warm-up
Vocal workout with detailed technical corrections to maximize results
Targeted skill development (based on your goals): ear training, microphone techniques, harmony, improvisation, preparing auditions, or other specialized areas
Repertoire work (applying voice technique to songs)
When it aligns with student goals, I incorporate ear training and harmony directly into the vocal workout by exploring different chords, scales, and melodic patterns. This integrated approach helps you develop multiple skills simultaneously while building a stronger foundation.
