About Matthew

Hello. My name is Matthew. I've been offering 1-on-1 tuition in science and maths subjects since the start of 2019. I've always loved science and found it highly interesting and fascinating, so I can inject a lot of energy and love for the subject in my lessons. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Genetics (University of Nottingham) and a Master's in Cancer Cell and Molecular Biology (University of Leicester), as well as A levels in Maths, Physics, Human Biology, and Chemistry.

About the lesson

I prefer to create practice questions to determine which areas the student is good at and which they're not too confident in. Once I can pinpoint the areas they're struggling with, I go in-depth trying to explain the how and the why, to make sure the student can understand what's going on and not just memorise it. After that, how well they understood it I can test with more practice questions.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Matthew.

The end result has been a better understanding of Biology as a subject and growing confidence as we head into the exams...
