About Avaneesh
I am a recent graduate at the University of Auckland and have had my hand in a wide range of subjects. Math, Drama and English have been my strong suits, especially in High school and University. I personally want to provide help for any student that may have hit a wall in their progress, as I know how frustrating the feeling is. In my eyes another person giving a different perspective on how to approach a problem or assignment has always helped immensely with looking at how to improve oneself. I hope that I may be able to provide that needed perspective to any one willing to ask for assistance, as even in other jobs I've found that I've really enjoyed showing people the ropes and giving people a hand at something they may struggle in

Generally my approach is to first figure out the basics if I'm one on one and see how to approach teaching a student. I personally am a believer in reinforcing the basics. Ideally fundamentals should be known before moving onto anything more complex. In the case of a Mathematics lesson I would first see how much the student knows of the desired topic, by letting them practice out the theory based on what they know already (if anything at all), then focus on refining the knowledge through repeated examples and maybe break it down bit by bit before introducing the more complex example. My experience so far in teaching has been through a few students in High school I had lessons with in Mathematics, and also a 2 week exchange in Japan in 2019 where myself and three others helped the English teachers give Japanese University students more hands understanding of conversing and using English. My lessons should ideally help children from Primary to High school age.
