About Keshav

Keshav kumawat is a young, talented Vocalist and tabla/Pakhawaj player from India. He is the disciple of great maestro "mridangacharya Pt. Prakash kumawat" who is the grandson of legendary mridangacharya "PADMASHRI" "Pt. Purushottam das pakhawaji" (Nathdwara gharana). He is honored by "TAAL MANI" from Mumbai university.

He shows good listening ability and quickly grasps compositions, especially traditional bols and patterns. His consistency in practice is commendable, and he maintains a respectful and focused attitude during learning. He also demonstrates a natural musical sensitivity, which helps him understand the depth and expression of percussion beyond just technique.
Areas of Improvement:
To further enhance his skills, Saurav can work on improving his speed with clarity, ensuring that each bol remains distinct even at higher tempos. He should also focus on developing greater stamina and control during longer performances. Deepening his understanding of layakari (rhythmic variations) and expanding his repertoire will take his playing to the next level. Keshav developed an interest in music through the blessings of his grandfather, and perhaps through his lineage as well. He is a professional Pakhawaj player, known for his heart-winning performances on prestigious stages alongside renowned Ustads.
