About Nathan
third-year computing science major with a minor in mathematics. I graduated high school with high honors and a 95% average in any math-related course. I have taught at a high school level for a year in which all students were able to successfully reach their academic goals.

I teach using personalized and, when applicable, visual questions. My methodology relies on building an understanding of the concepts rather than simply memorizing formulas. If a student can visualize and understand the theory and how formulas are derived then there would be no need to memorize formulas. My teaching method aims to create a core understanding of the subject so that the student's knowledge can be applied to any problem that can arise from the subject. A typical lesson will usually consist of going over sample problems and making sure the student not only understands how to derive the solution but how to use this process to solve other similar questions. I am open-minded and believe asking questions is fundamental to deeper understanding. I encourage students to question my method of solving a problem in order to gain a better understanding of the subject.
