About Chris
I am passionate about inspiring and motivating students to learn about computing. I take the latest advancements and new thinking in the IT world and combine these with modern learning strategies to make my Computer Science classrooms interesting, informative and enjoyable learning environments.
In my current post I have been responsible for overhauling, developing and modernising the computer science curriculum offered which has resulted in an uptake in the GCSE Computing Science course. I take great care to plan, deliver, and adapt differentiated lessons through all year groups using a variety of learning styles and approaches.
I am a successful Head of Department with a record of improving students outcomes in the subject of Computer Science. I also have a full and current DBS check.

I am very much led by the tutee during my online tutoring sessions, like my classroom teaching I use a variety of methods and techniques to educate. These include demonstrations and tutorials (very good with programming), written work and question and answer approaches.
My lessons tend to be 60 minutes in length (although this can be negotiated) and can be tailored to any particular approach that you would like.
In terms of my experience, I have been a classroom teacher of Computer Science for over 12 years in both state and private schools. I have taught a range of GCSE and A-Level qualifications from a range of different exam boards. I have also been an online tutor for the past couple of years for a number of GCSE students.
My lessons are for any GCSE Computer Science/IT student or key stage three students preparing for GCSE.
