About Nathan
I am a recent high school graduate and now college student studying computer science. My passions include computer science and mathematics, but I do still enjoy and can teach other subjects. I have given private lessons to a few other students for the past couple of years in the subjects of Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-calculus. As a result of teaching, my students have told me that I helped them raise their letter grade at least up by one letter if not two. I am very flexible in my teaching in that I teach based off the students needs.

I constant improve my teaching skills by learning about the subject and by teaching the subject, making me more efficient as I continue learning about the needs of the student. I have only taught individualized lessons but if needed I can teach groups. Normally in my private lessons, I create "lesson notes" for the student with blank examples. I go through the examples thoroughly with my students, making sure that the student comprehends the examples. I continually ask if the student has any questions to ensure comprehension. If the student brings me their homework problems, rather than "doing it for them", I instead create and solve a similar example and then ask the student to look at their problem again.
