I am a student who has interned at teaching facilities before where I taught groups of people basic java. The Digital Arts Experience had me teaching kids how to 3D model and build basic programs using scratch and java as well.

I like to try to adapt to the given persons' learning style. I have had experiences where showing by example and explaining along the way is what paints the clearest picture and I have also had experiences where letting the student attempt it and guiding them along the way is what works the best. Generally I prefer the latter, as it usually is more engaging and challenging for the student.
