About Jay
I am currently a Computer science student pursuing a BS in Computer Science at UC Santa Cruz. I have been coding in C++ for about 4 years now. I enjoy teaching and can communicate material effectively. I used to tutor at my old school in both C++ and calculus.

I approach each topic by finding real world examples and use those as a way to explain the concept. I try to ask questions to my students as I am teaching to keep them engaged and sometimes will have them figure out what goes next, etc. In regards to Math, I am able to effectively communicate concepts and show plenty of examples. In addition, I give some practice problems to make sure the concept is fully understood.
