About Adam
I am currently a computer science student at the Georgia Tech College of Computing, one of the most rigorous computer science programs in the country. At Georgia Tech, I have taken and excelled in many math and science courses, including physics, linear algebra, multi-variable calculus, discrete math, and data structures and algorithms.
In high school, I received 5s on the following AP exams relevant to my tutoring: Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Physics 1, Physics 2, Computer Science A, Computer Science Principles, and Statistics, along with other non-STEM exams.
I have been tutoring for four years. I have tutored many AP students in Calculus, Computer Science, and Physics, and I have also taught middle school and lower-level high school courses.

My lessons will be conducted virtually. I am excited to help middle and high school students with math and physics classes, including but not limited to: geometry and trigonometry; algebra; Pre-calculus and calculus; and AP Physics 1, 2, and C.
My teaching approach: I have found that students learn most effectively when they have a strong foundational understanding of topics. Students that struggle with math and science often try to memorize the "what" of problems - equations, formulas, and algorithms - when they should be more concerned with the "why". I want to help students become more creative and effective problem solvers by giving them the tools to actually understand problems, not just plug numbers into equations.
A typical lesson:
- Explain the topic of interest in simple terms, using visuals and examples when possible.
- Go through an example problem
- Encourage the student to take the lead on another problem
Emphasis on communicating and explaining why we take the steps that we do.
