About Ben

I have tutored roughly 20 GCSE, A-level & University Computer Science students over the course of 5 years on a wide range of theoretical & practical topics including several programming languages.

I have an A in GCSE & A-level Computer Science and I am currently projected a 1st in Computer Science at Queens. I have also demonstrated on several university modules & have co-authored a final year module.

I also qualified to represent Queen's as the best team in Northern Ireland at the International Collegiate Programming Contest in 2019 & have professional developer experience.

About the lesson

I'm an independent Programming & Computer science tutor with 5 years of experience.

My teaching style is practical & hands-on with a focus on problem-solving to teach students through active learning. This is particularly beneficial to students looking for help on projects.

I also aim to make lessons exactly suited to students' needs so that no time is wasted on unimportant areas and more time can be spent on achieving goals.

Additionally, I provide support via email & text to help give quick responses to problems challenging students.

Perfect! Really, Really enjoyed my lessons with ben, he came across extremely friendly and easy to understand, and explained things in a methodical which I found to beneficial. As someone who suffers from Dyslexia, and finds coding particularly difficult I found the one to one programming sessions extremely useful for understanding many of the core fundamental concepts needed to complete my project
