About Ubayd
I am a postgraduate student reading Computer Science at King's College London with a relentless passion and curiosity for the subject, including advanced topics such as AI. DBS checked for peace of mind. I’m also a member of the British Computer Society.
Having worked on my own projects, contributed to open-source software and my work in a couple Software Engineering roles in the past, I am grounded with the rich technical and theoretical understanding of the subject required to teach it, as well as valuable insight and experience in this constantly-changing industry required to adapt some of my specialist teaching to current technologies.

My student-centred teaching approach is uniquely tailored to each individual, taking into account their strengths and weaknesses, level (GCSE, A-Level or further), as well as to accommodate the learning style that best suits them. The basis of my methodology comes from a focus on decomposing complex problems and concepts and teaching them from the ground up with a priority on clarity and simplicity.
I strive to ensure my experience can benefit students in acquiring knowledge but also a deep-rooted understanding of the subject matter, which I believe is critical in applied questions. At each step I introduce exam-style questions to gauge the amount of effective understanding the student has gained and adjust accordingly. I also emphasise the importance of proven regular active recall techniques to consolidate knowledge learnt.
Typically each lesson is 1-2 hours. I will always recommend a suitable length depending on the student's ability and goals to provide ample time for comprehensive coverage and student engagement. My lessons are also recorded for the benefit of revision.
Additionally, I offer more practical lessons on pure computer programming and advanced topics such as Mathematics for Computer Science, Data Structures and Algorithms, Elementary Logic and Machine Learning.
