About Jahson
My name is Jahson Menchaca, and I am a Computer Science student at the University of Texas at Arlington. I have completed coursework in College Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I-III, Linear Algebra, University Physics 1-2, Engineering Probability, and Data Structures & Algorithms (in Java and C).
I know many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because of how the concepts are taught. I strive to create a supportive and patient learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through mistakes.

My learning method:
- Focus on the reasoning behind each step over memorization.
- Ask students to solve the problem first to notice gaps in understanding
- Ask students to explain their thought process to see faulty logic and fix intuition
- Test a student's understanding by having them solve a similar problem
What sets me apart:
I am a Computer Science student at UTA who has completed the STEM prerequisites that many students struggle with. I know the value of being able to ask questions without being judged and needing more time.
