About Alex
I am a Computer Science graduate from the University of Birmingham where I achieved a 2.1 and I now currently work as a software engineer in Finance.
I achieved an A* and an A in A-Level Maths and Further Maths respectively going from a B and a C grade respectively (Jumping 2 grades for both subjects). So I know exactly how it feels to be a student who felt like it was impossible to achieve the A grades or above and I want to pass on the methods I used to others.
I have 4 years experience in tutoring and students who I have taught improved by at least a grade or above and I wouldn't be doing my job if they didn't improve. So it is very important for me that I make sure they improve.

I make sure I cater my lessons to the student's needs. I place huge emphasis on making sure the student understands the concept no matter how long it takes and consolidate that with questions.
My general teaching method is giving the student a general example of the topic we are doing and then I allow the student to demonstrate their understanding by attempting questions on the topic.
