About Helen
As a recent university graduate, I remember what it’s like to be a high school student striving for good grades, especially in maths. I believe that enjoying maths is key to becoming good at it. Summer is the perfect time to get ahead—when you have more free time, it's easier to absorb maths concepts and prepare yourself to excel in the coming school year.
I am a passionate tutor who truly wants the best for my students. If you choose to work with me, I’ll be a teacher who feels more like a friend—someone you can rely on to ask questions and help you master maths.

My lessons are typically an hour long (adjustable upon request). Tutoring over Zoom is available if preferred, but in-person sessions are ideal at uoa. During high school, I was selected as a peer support student to tutor maths, based on my excellence results in the subject (approved by the dean). I also have experience working as a tutor for Eye Level for maths, where I learned how to teach thoroughly with a professional curriculum. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Auckland. I am looking for high school students who are passionate about learning maths and preparing for their NCEA exams.
