About Shashanker

Hi! I’m a Computer Science graduate, Schulich MBA graduate, and working technology professional with 8+ years of industry experience.

I believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and a supportive learning environment. My approach is friendly, patient, and personalized—I focus on making difficult concepts easy to understand while helping students build confidence and strong problem-solving skills.

Whether you’re looking to improve your grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen your fundamentals, or learn programming from scratch, I’ll tailor our lessons to your goals and learning style.

My goal is to make every lesson productive, engaging, and something you look forward to!

About the lesson

Teaching methodology:
I adapt my teaching style to each student's level, learning pace, and goals. Rather than simply providing answers, I focus on helping students understand the why behind each concept. I use step-by-step explanations, practical examples, visual explanations, and guided problem-solving to build both knowledge and confidence.

Typical lesson plan:
10%: Review previous concepts and address questions.
30%: Introduce and explain the new concept in a simple, structured way.
50%: Work through examples and problems together, gradually giving the student more independence.
10%: Recap key takeaways, identify areas that need more practice, and provide targeted exercises for the next lesson.

What sets me apart:
My combination of a Computer Science background, Schulich MBA, and real-world technology experience allows me to connect academic concepts with practical applications. I understand that every student learns differently, so I personalize lessons rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is not just to help students get better grades, but to help them develop problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and confidence.

Who my lessons are for:
I primarily teach middle-school and high-school students looking for support in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Programming. I can also help beginner-level students who want to learn programming fundamentals or strengthen their technical problem-solving skills.

Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for an exam, strengthening their fundamentals, or getting ahead, I tailor the lessons to their specific needs and goals.
