About Charlie

I am a second year student studying Computer Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. I just freshly finished the honors Calculus series through multi-variable calculus and earned all A's, and in high school earned a 5 on the AP Calculus AB test. In my free time I am sing in my university choir and am part of the a cappella club "Take it SLO".

Calculus is a complex and difficult subject that requires lots of dedication and work to become great at. I will help you are on your Calculus journey in College level mathematics. I am a hired tutor at my university for Calculus and offer a service that can help you no matter what skill level you are at. I will help build a solid mathematical foundation and understand to help more complex and newer ideas come easier. As I am fresh in just taking the AP Calculus test just 2 years ago where I received a 5, I understand the kinds of questions and curriculum within the test, and understand the anxiety and stress that these tests can cause. I am dedicated and committed to your success as a student in making sure you get the score you are capable of earning.

My teaching style involves lots of practice problems and getting really deep into a specific topic, while also frequently zooming out to see the bigger picture and connecting the dots that are often not during class! I will frequently assess where we are at and adjust pace as needed, and focus down on topics more challenging to you.

Perfect! Charlie is professional, responsive, and helped my 11th grade son grasp concepts in AP Calculus quickly. Charlie communicates is a way that allowed my son to understand the mechanisms behind concepts, rather than just memorizing formulas.
