My first approach is discovering where the fault is. The fault could be a weak foundation in that subject or course. When the major issue is discovered, the problem is half solved.
I also make my approach such that you can relate with. Most teachers make things complex and complicated. But with the ability to present fact with something that one can picture and relate with,the learning process becomes fun and sweet.
