About Amit
As a computer engineer, life-long maths lover, father of an 8 year old and author of a children's book ('Fuzzy Bee: A GREATful Journey'), I am committed to inspiring within children world-over a love for math, a feeling of global citizenship and sense of responsibility to their communities and our planet.
Moreover, I feel every child, in their unique way, has something to offer a continually advancing human civilization and I wish to help them discover that.

- Before starting a lesson, I first try to understand the general interests and hobbies of my student as well as their relationship with maths. This would involve 2-3 'get-to-know' questions.
- After building the initial rapport, I tailor the initial conversations and first few lessons around what I learnt from them. For instance, if they have a somewhat negative relationship with maths, I will teach each lesson slowly and gently, ensuring that things are easy to grasp and fun.
As I find the student increasing in confidence, I will increase the pace and introduce harder concepts.
- As a tutor, I have a unique way of using everyday examples to demonstrate the power of math. For instance, I may use Grade 4-5 math to show to a 9-10 year old child how the long-term use of bidets in our washrooms can drastically lower our toilet roll costs, reduce deforestation and CO2 emissions.
- The classes are for children from Grades 1 to 10 with any level of confidence with respect to maths.
