About Blessing

I want to teach because I understand what it feels like to be in the same position as many of my students. When I was studying Health and Social Care at sixth form, there were times when certain topics felt confusing or overwhelming. With the right support and guidance, I was able to improve my understanding and achieve my qualification. That experience motivates me to help students who may be struggling and show them that they are capable of achieving strong grades.

My personality plays a big role in why I enjoy tutoring. I’m naturally patient, supportive, and approachable, and I like creating a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I believe students learn best when they feel encouraged rather than pressured, so I focus on building confidence while helping them understand the subject step by step.

I’m currently studying Learning Disability Nursing, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and a deeper understanding of how different people learn. This has made me even more passionate about supporting students in a way that suits their individual learning style.

Outside of tutoring, I’m involved in the media and sound team at my church, where I also help lead the team. This role has helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and organisation skills, as well as the ability to stay calm and supportive when working with others.

Overall, I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people grow, gain confidence, and realise their potential. Since I was once in their position, I hope to inspire my students and show them that with the right support, they can achieve the results they’re aiming for.

My tutoring approach is supportive, patient, and focused on helping students who may be struggling to understand topics or feel less confident in their studies. I aim to create a relaxed environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I usually start by identifying the areas the student finds most difficult, then break down the topic into simple steps and use examples, past paper questions, and discussion to make it easier to understand.

My lessons are typically **45–60 minutes long** and are held **online via Zoom**. During each session we review key concepts, practise exam-style questions, and go over any topics the student needs extra help with. I also like to encourage students to reflect on what they’ve learned so they can build confidence and improve gradually.

I completed a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care at sixth form and I am currently studying Learning Disability Nursing at university, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience, and supportive teaching skills.

My lessons are mainly for **sixth form or college students studying Health and Social Care**, especially those preparing for **A-level or Level 3 coursework and exams**, or anyone who feels they need extra support to reach their best grade.
