About Abigail

I am an experienced tutor, with a passion to teach and help my students understand Mathematics. My lessons are fun, fast-paced, and focused, and I am confident that we are going to be very productive. I love mathematics and science and after interacting with you, I will make sure that you love the subject as much as I do. I am convinced that the best way to master mathematics is through practice and less theory. Our goal is to achieve competence through maximum involvement and focus on the subject. I will not ask you to sit quietly by yourself and consume information; things will be different from the typical predictable classroom. Please book a lesson and see for yourself! In my experience in the last 5 years of teaching, I have adopted the following philosophy of teaching mathematics: • A biconditional mode of communicating whereby as the tutor I pass on knowledge and have immediate ways of checking feedback i.e. simply giving exercises and checking in class during lesson time. • A mysterious or paradoxical way of looking at things i.e. before a chapter give some problem related to what I am to cover. This gives a nice start of a lesson or chapter which stimulates the learners to have a positive outlook on the subject at hand.
