About Rachel
I have 2 years of teaching experience and hold a Bachelor of Science in Mathematical Sciences. Since beginning my teaching journey, I have enjoyed helping students strengthen their mathematical abilities through supportive guidance, engaging instruction, and individualized lesson planning. I believe every learner can succeed when provided with patience, encouragement, and opportunities to build confidence step by step.
One student initially struggled with interpreting scatter plots because recognizing correlation patterns and drawing meaningful conclusions from data required stronger analytical observation. Through interactive graphing activities, real-world datasets, and guided classroom discussions, the student steadily improved data interpretation skills and achieved excellent progress in mathematics assessments.
I believe mathematics develops logical reasoning, creativity, resilience, precision, and independent thinking that benefit students throughout education and future careers. Outside teaching, I enjoy creating mathematics enrichment activities, participating in educational workshops, and exploring innovative classroom strategies that make learning enjoyable for students of all abilities.

My teaching philosophy centers on making mathematics approachable through conceptual understanding, structured reasoning, and meaningful application. Every student begins with an individual assessment that evaluates mathematical knowledge, confidence level, preferred learning methods, academic goals, and study routines. Based on this evaluation, I create personalized lesson plans that strengthen essential mathematical concepts while gradually introducing more advanced topics in a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Students receive comprehensive instruction in arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, probability, introductory calculus, mathematical reasoning, quantitative analysis, mathematical modeling, data interpretation, and critical thinking strategies. Lessons combine conceptual explanations, guided demonstrations, collaborative investigations, visual learning activities, structured exercises, independent practice, and reflective discussions. Students are encouraged to explain mathematical reasoning clearly, evaluate multiple solution strategies, and develop flexible analytical skills through continuous practice.
Lessons frequently connect mathematics with practical applications in healthcare analytics, environmental sustainability, financial literacy, information technology, architecture, transportation engineering, agricultural research, and business decision-making to help students appreciate the relevance of mathematics beyond the classroom.
