About Risa
I am a student at Berkeley High School and I have been tutoring through the Advanced Math track for several years. Math hasn't always come easily to me, but through hard work and perseverance I have gotten top grades in Advanced Math 2 and 3, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. This process has given me a unique perspective on learning, and a deep understanding of how to support others in their learning.

My teaching method is based on the idea that anyone can learn anything with the right support and techniques. My experience with the public school system has given me a critical outlook on strict, one-size-fits-all strategies for teaching, so instead I approach each student as an individual and take the time to understand what they need to learn.
