About Juliet
I’m Juliet, a Finnish native speaker and linguistics graduate with a passion for languages and teaching.
I have degrees in Finnish language and literature and Finno-Ugric languages, and I’m currently completing my Finnish teacher qualification. I’ve also lived abroad and learned languages myself, which has given me a lot of insight into the joys and challenges of language learning.
I speak fluent English and Estonian.

I think the best way to learn a language is to actually use it! In my lessons, we’ll combine conversation, practical Finnish, vocabulary and grammar, depending on what you want to learn. I'm very happy to hear your goals and tailor the lessons to suit your needs :)
A typical lesson might start with a bit of conversation, followed by a grammar or vocabulary topic and some exercises. We’ll then practise using what you’ve learned in realistic situations.
As a linguistics graduate and future Finnish teacher, I’m naturally interested in how languages work. I’ve also learned several languages myself, so I know that speaking a new language can feel intimidating! I want my lessons to be relaxed and encouraging, where you can make mistakes, ask questions and gradually become more confident.
I teach Finnish from beginner to advanced level. Whether you want to manage everyday conversations, improve your grammar, prepare for an exam, or simply feel more comfortable using Finnish, we can work on it together.
