About Ellie
I am a 19 year old college student. I am currently taking a semester off from school amid the pandemic, but will be returning to university next semester. I am working on a degree in political science and pre-law. I am a very artistic person who enjoys painting, drawing, sewing, reading, and music. I was involved in choir and theatre through all of middle and high school. I have experience volunteering in multiple elementary and middle school age classrooms ranging from 3rd grade to 8th. I can offer help in all subjects, but have more experience in math and social studies. While I have no professional experience, I am a dedicated student and mentor.

I am offering tutoring/ homework help to elementary and middle school aged children grades 1st through 8th. I am very flexible and will work with the student on the subjects they need the most help with. I am a very patient teacher and strive to make sure I am providing explanations and not just answers for those I am tutoring. I try to tailor my teaching style to each student I work with, because every kid takes in information different. I try and offer different explanations and problem solving methods to find the method that works best for the individual. I always make sure the student understands what they are doing, and how they got the conclusion they did.
