This is the way I tutor: 1. Assessment & Goal Setting (First Session) Evaluate the student’s current English proficiency in speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Discuss the student’s goals (e.g., improving fluency, passing a test, job-related communication). Identify strengths and areas that need improvement. Create a personalized learning plan based on their goals and learning style. 2. Engage and Work on Different Activities to Strengthen Skills Use interactive and engaging methods to enhance language skills, including: Speaking & Listening: Conversations, role-playing, watching videos, and listening to audio exercises. Reading & Comprehension: Reading short stories, news articles, and discussing key points. Writing & Grammar: Sentence-building activities, creative writing prompts, and grammar exercises. Vocabulary Building: Word games, flashcards, and learning idioms and phrasal verbs. Pronunciation Practice: Tongue twisters, phonetic drills, and listening exercises. Adapt activities based on the student’s interests to make learning enjoyable and relevant. 3. Practice & Progress Evaluation Regularly assess improvement through informal conversations, quizzes, and written assignments. Provide constructive feedback with clear areas for improvement. Assign small tasks (such as journaling, watching English videos, or speaking challenges) to reinforce learning outside of lessons. Celebrate progress and adjust the study plan as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
