About Derek
Hello, my name is Derek! I am an 18-year-old college student from Cincinnati, OH. I decided to be a tutor because after going to school all my life I realized that school is important for all of us. I want each student to pass their classes and that is why I decided to be a tutor.

As a tutor I use my skills I learned as a Boy Scout to teach all of my students. It's called the EDGE Method. The EDGE Method stands for - Explain - Demonstrate - Guide - Enable. I choose this as my style because it is a very good teaching method and it works with all types of learning styles.
