About Teresa
Hi, I'm Teresa. I'm a Bio major turned nursing student. Once upon a time I decided that I would become a writer and never take a science class again.
So what happened?
Well, a desire to serve others in healthcare has since seen me overcome courses like Organic Chemistry and Microbiology. Because science was a field where I had to work extra hard to get As, I bring a little understanding to my lessons with students who may be struggling with the same problems I had.
Not only do I bring academic experience but I also bring experience from five years of working with children as a nanny and au pair and three years of professional tutoring with Varsity Tutors.
Please, do not think that you "can't" do science. I-the English and History girl- found herself finishing labs with As. If I can do it, you can too.

Beyond homework, I hope.
We will extend problems and rote memorization to the greater and amazing fields of Biology and Chemistry. Sure, the atomic mass is the weight of the neutrons and protons. But why not the electrons? Let's discuss it and soon you will be making connections in your head that will last a lifetime.
Ok, and let's not forget: what's cake without icing? We'll make it fun! Games, competitions, and changing-it-up are all essential pieces of my teaching method. Each class will be a little bit different and if something appeals to one student, we'll make sure to incorporate that activity more often into our lessons.
In the end, the class depends on the student. You show me how you learn best and I'll work to fit your style.
