I like to work in bite-size chunks so that students have time to digest and process the information. Too much information at one time often causes confusion. I will ask the students to choose a topic that is giving them trouble and focus on that area. I encourage a 2-way dialog. I like to have an open conversation with the student to get to the root of the problem because sometimes they may have an issue with a topic, but the problem may originate in a different area. To maximize student success, they must be fully involved in the interaction.

I realize that prices for tutoring may vary. I think the quality of tutoring can also vary. I can promise that I will get you over any hurdles you have. I will also, follow up with you to check your progress and send you materials to reinforce our discussion. It won't just be a tutoring session where never hear back from me (many people can offer you this), I will be reinforcing the discussed topic post-conversation as well including next steps.
