My teaching method is goal oriented. Early lessons focus on identifying personal goals and hurtles. The student and I work as a team to find the best ways to progress and lead to success.
What sets me apart as a tutor is that I work from personal experience I was a student who need and used many of the approaches I use in my classes. I understand the frustrations and challenges a student can have regarding their school work.
Typical lesson plan (1 hr):
10 mins: Check in. Going over previous week's success and assignments.
10-20 mins: Going over the specifics of the week's assignments.
10-20 mins: Practice work, including going over original work and original problem solving practice.
10 mins: Going over sections key ideas and future plans.
