About Gabrielle

I hold a Masters Degree in English Literature with a concentration in Creative Writing from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Bachelors Degree in Human Ecology, with a concentration in Dramaturgy from the College of the Atlantic. I teach English as an adjunct at Manchester Community College, and Rivier University.

I am currently a Doctor of Education student at New England College in Henniker, NH, researching program requirements and their relationship to systemic racism in higher education, expected graduation date in May of 2022.

I love language, teaching, and animals. I love horror in many forms, particularly slasher movies from the 80s and 90s. I love fall in New England, and I'm useless without coffee.

About the lesson

I believe that learning is based in reflection and revision, and I'm here to provide scaffolding for skills and confidence. I design individual lesson plans based on students' needs and goals. I will work with students who want support for a specific class, or we can create exercises based on what skills a student would like to strengthen. This can take the form of skill drills and practice, reading examples and responses, or even full essay assignment work. I also work with students on how to approach English assignments, and how to break them down into workable steps to avoid becoming overwhelmed. I am happy to work with high school students and college students at all levels, Associates Degree to Doctoral Degree.

My teaching experience is with non-traditional, under-prepared and under-represented, diverse and minoritized populations. I am delighted to work with LGTBQIA2S+ students, and I am Safe Space trained by both the Community College System of NH, and the University of New Hampshire.
