About Charis
I am currently in university studying for a multi disciplinary degree that covers linguistics, neuroscience, computer science, philosophy and psychology (but my main emphasis is linguistics and neuroscience). I have a strong art background and took creative writing classes throughout high school. I have also taken peer tutoring classes and can communicate information effectively to students.

My teaching methods centre around making sure students have a strong foundation in the subject they’re struggling with and then building up from there. A typical class will begin with going over the work they’ve done so far and showing them areas where they can improve. If there are any concepts they are having trouble understanding I will take them through these and provide them with examples to practice on. For english specifically I will also help them expand their vocabulary so they can write their essays and assignments more confidently.
