About Bethany
Based in Liverpool, I am a Masters graduate of the University of Leeds who has been tutoring various subjects since 16-years-old, including BSL, English, Maths, and various musical instruments.
I am a CoDA (Child of Deaf Adult) raised bilingually in both British Sign Language and English within a Deaf household. I am natively fluent, though I also hold an NVQ Level 3 Award in BSL.
Looking for lessons for someone under 18? I have worked with children and young people for 9+ years in schools, extra-curricular settings, sleepaway camps, and more, and hold a current DBS certificate.

I offer 60 minute lessons over any virtual platform of your choice, in your home, or in a public setting, in British Sign Language with a focus on vocabulary, grammar and Deaf awareness.
I love to teach through conversations which make my lessons great for any age or ability. Through these lessons, you will learn fingerspelling, conversational sign, handshapes, sentence stucture, Deaf history and culture, and more.
You will also receive tailored lessons suited to your learning style and needs. Everyone learns differently, and I love to share this beautiful language however I can!
