About Sofiia
I am a master's student who loves learning and talking about psychology and am eager to share my passion for it with students. I initially got drawn to the subject to understand why it can be so hard to stop procrastinating, and discovered that there're so many exciting areas of psychology (and also stats - but I promise it can be interesting!). I am now pursuing my interests in clinical psychology. In my experience of studying psychology, I have gone from getting a couple of discouraging Cs and Ds in A Level to writing an EPQ on student procrastination and graduating with an A*. My BSc deepened my A Level knowledge of the core topics in psychology. I also spent a year delivering study sessions to first-year undergraduate students, helping them with essay planning, study skills, and critical thinking skills. I am an organised and attentive person who is also flexible in the tutoring approach. I would love to help students studying psychology, whether it is understanding the material, preparing for an exam, or drafting a university application.

I focus on building on the student's strengths and working together on the areas for improvement. I also encourage students to ask further questions and make connections with the real-world, which makes psychology concepts more memorable and exciting to learn about. If the student wants to study psychology at university, I believe that engaging with the material before the lesson will give us space to think deeper about the content and clarify any gaps in knowledge. I have more than five years of studying psychology. I got an A* for Psychology A Level in 2021. In 2024, I graduated with a high 2:1 in BSc Psychology from the University of Bath. I am now studying MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Kent. The lessons are primarily for A Level students.
