I studied Chemistry with Prof. Bhatti from 2008 to 2010. His classes prepared me simultaneously for the board exams, AIEEE, and IIT-JEE. Prof. Bhatti lectures are clear, extensive, and lucid - it is an absolute delight to be in his class. He genuinely cares about his students’ career. What distinguishes Prof. Bhatti from others is his rich, holistic and streamlined approach to teaching chemistry. He goes beyond the dry and sterile theoretical component and focusses on developing an appreciation for the deep, sometimes slippery, underlying ideas. For instance, to complement the study of coordination chemistry and we performed various experiments related to salt analysis which were useful both for the boards and entrance examinations. Not to mention, it helps in a much better retention compared to conventional rote learning techniques. Going from 10th to 11th, there is a fundamental intellectual jump in the chemistry curriculum which led me to lose interest. Prof. Bhatti completely transformed the chemistry from my weakness to strength in two years. I found the organic chemistry to be the most challenging component, Prof. Bhatti‘s targeted and systematic approach helped me manage the sheer breadth of the course in an efficient and timely manner. Out of physics, maths, and chemistry, I scored the maximum marks in the chemistry section in both IIT-JEE (AIR-785) and AIEEE (AIR-325), all thanks to Prof. Bhatti. His test regimen is comprehensive, frequent, and organized, the problems are eclectically chosen from a whole bulk of elusive sources including the previous year exams. Numerous problems in AIEEE and IIT-JEE were already discussed in our lectures (I categorically recall at least three problems in AIEEE which were not only similar, but even the numerical values were identical!). Prof. Bhatti’s discipline and organization unleash the excellence in his pupils.
