About Jane
I’m a classically trained violinist with a Bachelor of Music from NYU and more than a decade of professional performance experience. I spent several years touring nationally as an acoustic/electric violinist with a rock band, performing across the country and bringing violin into a world beyond the traditional concert hall.
I now bring that combination of classical training and real-world performance experience to my teaching. I enjoy working with both children and adults and creating a welcoming environment where students can build solid technique, confidence, and a lasting connection with the violin.

I teach violin with a strong classical foundation, but my background also includes years as a professional touring violinist—so I bring both traditional technique and real-world performance experience into my teaching.
Lessons focus on developing a great sound, confident bow control, rhythm, music reading, and solid technique while adapting to how each student learns best. For younger beginners, I use short activities and games to make new skills approachable and engaging. Older students and adults receive lessons tailored to their individual level and goals.
I teach ages 4+ from beginner through intermediate level, with an emphasis on helping students become confident, capable musicians who genuinely enjoy playing.
