About Seth
Hello, I'm Seth!
I'm a guitarist and composer/arranger from the Pacific Northwest. I have a Master's Degree in Classical Guitar Performance from the University of Idaho, as well as a B.Mus. in Composition and a B.A. in Spanish and French.
I especially love the music from South America: Bossa Nova, Samba, Tango, Cueca, Huayno, etc. I play solo classical guitar and I'm also part of a couple of bands.
I love introducing people to the wonderful world of guitar! I've been fortunate to study the instrument on three different continents in three different languages, and I hope to be able to share my experience with my students.

I was brought up on the Aaron Shearer classical guitar method, and I recommend the RCM Bridges series as an excellent source of repertoire for students exploring the classical guitar. However, I draw from different styles and materials for teaching music and try to teach to my student's strengths. I can just as easily explore jazz, folk, and other musical traditions.
