About Sage
"Do you find yourself hitting a plateau while trying to master complex pieces alone? I have spent 13 years refining my craft and helping adults and grade exam candidates navigate the nuances of theory and sight playing. My BFA from Berklee provides the foundation, but my true focus is on the music you actually listen to.
I bridge the gap between church-adjacent worship styles and high-level jazz improvisation. We treat the instrument as an extension of your own musical voice. These techniques for memorization and expression are built to stick. You deserve a coach who knows exactly how to bridge that gap."

"Your first session starts with a diagnostic playing assessment to determine your exact technical needs. I watch how you handle dynamics and expression before we set a learning plan.
This ensures your time is spent on skills that actually improve your sound. With 13 years of experience, I know how to keep things moving efficiently for busy adults. We work on theory and accompaniment as one integrated skill rather than isolated chores.
You will leave the piano bench feeling more capable and informed than when you sat down. I look forward to hearing what you are currently working on in your practice."
