About Megan
I am passionate about education as both a student and (hopefully) your tutor. A student/tutor relationship goes both ways, and I consider any student as a member of my team. I will never make it 'you' vs 'me', it will always be 'us' against whatever obstacle you are facing in your learning. Every individual learner is different in level, pace, and quantity and I will always celebrate your wins with you. I will work with you wherever you are at and I am committed to making progress in your formal or informal educational goals if you are!

These lessons are for those with basic understanding of English or native speakers who want to improve their reading comprehension, may be struggling with spelling, or who simply need someone as a discussion partner on confusing reading assignments. I am here to be a support for you along your education journey!
My teaching and learning style is not through lecture but discussion and textual analysis, although brief lectures may be necessary for a portion of lessons depending on your individual needs.
A first lesson would include a conversation resulting in a mutual understanding of how we plan to progress towards your goals. This can be as extensive as a 14-week plan to help you in a difficult class or 2 lessons learning one new skill.
A lesson template may include learning a new skill, then practicing that new skill(s) together, and potentially take-home assignments meant to enhance those skills (no busywork!)
This is flexible and can change according to your learning style and subject.
