Classical concert pianist with 30 years teaching experience offers lessons in London

I met Gisela when I joined a chamber music class (which she tutored) several years ago. As a lockdown project I decided to learn how to sing and Gisela has been giving me on-line singing lessons. She is very good at explaining and demonstrating the physical/technical aspects of singing. She is extremely patient and flexible, often suggesting several approaches to tackling a problem. Gisela has been my piano teacher for the last two years, at first in an adult education class and then on Zoom for the last year. The transition to online teaching went quite smoothly. As an older beginner I really appreciate her friendly and ever encouraging approach which gave me the confidence I needed to make good progress and pass my exams. I met Gisela face:face very briefly just before 2020 lockdown and we have been doing one:one piano lessons online for more than a year now. She has helped me enormously with technique and generally with analysing a piece. She is a very observant teacher and makes really useful and supportive suggestions. I always feel very motivated to work on my practice after lessons. I heartily recommend her.

Gisela is teaching me piano. I am almost a beginner but feel I have really progressed over the three months that I have been working with her on Zoom. She is very good at identifying practical ways in which I can improve both my technique and confidence, with simple effective suggestions for practise and fingering. She is friendly, supportive and interesting and clearly has great musical skill and experience but remembers how it feels to be learning.
