About Colyn
"Music is the universal language of mankind" -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
With two parents with Master Degrees in music education, I was born into the beautiful world of music, studying this intrinsic language that has stood the test of time. I have had difficult times in my lessons, joyous times, frustrating times, etc. Through getting through it all, however, I have found a happiness and joy that matches so perfectly with my naturally social and gentle personality. To keep my 7 years of bass experiences (and 16 years of piano) to myself would be a waste, and that is why I am writing this; to simply share something beautiful.

I believe that music is not only an art, but a language. My lessons balance the development of musical capacities and logical theory in a way that is applicable and practical. I teach all levels because I have journeyed through each of those levels and want to share what I've learned just as the many who have done the same for me.
