About Alisha
Throughout my program, I have gained essential knowledge and skills that are crucial for success as a Child and Youth Care Worker (CYCW). As part of my professional observation experience provided by my program, I had the opportunity to work with children and youth in various circumstances and conditions. This hands-on experience allowed me to apply the knowledge and skills I acquired during my courses and training.
During my observations and placements, I witnessed the positive impact that supportive interventions can have on children and youth, particularly those in care. I strongly believe in the potential for resilient young individuals to thrive when provided with the right support. This belief was reinforced by my experiences, and it has become a passion of mine to support and facilitate the growth of young people. I have developed the ability to connect with resilient young individuals and possess strong communication and counseling skills. Furthermore, I have designed and implemented activity programs for children and youth of different age groups, focusing on specific learning outcomes and goals.
Given my passion, educational achievements, and direct experience, I believe I would be an excellent fit to provide tutoring and academic support to empower individuals and families!
