About Walter

It started with me teaching chess to my niece and nephew and when I realized that it was just as exciting for me to teach them the game as it was for them to play it, I decided to do this professionally. Working as a chess tutor at Hokali After School and Camps cemented my passion for teaching kids the joy of chess.

For tactics: Learn Chess the Right Way by Susan Polgar

For general mating themes that are important to know: How to
Beat your Dad at Chess - Murray Chandler
