About Matis
I'm rated 2300 on Chess.com in rapid and blitz, and chess has been a long-standing passion of mine. I've taught chess in a workshop setting as well as to private students, and I also taught anatomy and physiology during my physiotherapy studies — so teaching, in different forms, has always been part of my life.
I'm a recently qualified physiotherapist, and my background has taught me how to adapt to different people, explain things simply, and stay calm and focused under pressure — skills that translate directly into teaching chess.

Matis is the best chess teacher ever! He’s so patient, kind, and teaches amazingly well. He’s also super friendly and made me feel like I was talking with an old friend of mine! If you want to learn chess, he’s your best option for sure!
