About Maya

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Strategic Studies and have 7 years of experience teaching chess to learners of all ages and skill levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes the combination of tactical skill, strategic understanding, and analytical thinking in a supportive and engaging environment. I aim to help students develop both competence and confidence in chess.

Lessons are customized to individual needs. Beginners learn piece movement, basic tactics, and simple strategies. Intermediate students refine openings, positional play, and tactical calculations. Advanced learners focus on advanced strategy, endgames, and competitive preparation.

Every session combines instruction, exercises, and game analysis for meaningful progress. Outside teaching, I participate in tournaments, study classic games, and explore chess theory to enhance my lessons. Helping students develop skill, strategic thinking, and self-confidence while enjoying the game is the most fulfilling aspect of my work.

About the lesson

My chess lessons focus on developing strategic thinking, tactical awareness, and a deep understanding of game principles. Students study openings, middle-game tactics, endgame techniques, positional evaluation, and decision-making strategies. Lessons include interactive exercises, game analysis, puzzle-solving, and simulated play to reinforce concepts while encouraging independent thought and problem-solving skills. I create a supportive environment where learners can explore chess without fear of mistakes, cultivating both confidence and analytical rigor.

Lessons are tailored to skill level. Beginners focus on piece movement, fundamental tactics, checkmates, and basic strategy. Intermediate players refine openings, tactical combinations, positional understanding, and planning. Advanced learners study advanced strategy, calculation skills, endgame mastery, and competitive preparation. Each lesson incorporates exercises, analysis, and interactive feedback to promote thoughtful learning and measurable progress.

The goal of my chess teaching is to develop players who can think strategically, anticipate opponents’ moves, and make confident decisions under pressure. Students improve not only at chess but also in logical reasoning, patience, and concentration. Lessons are structured to encourage steady growth, critical thinking, and a love for the game that extends beyond the classroom.
