About Mahi
I have a strong passion for chemistry and science because I find it fascinating how they explain the world around us, from everyday reactions to complex processes at the molecular level. This curiosity has driven me to pursue chemistry further, and I am currently studying it as an undergraduate at University College London. I particularly enjoy how chemistry combines problem-solving with real-world applications.

My approach to tutoring is focused on building confidence and understanding through clear, structured explanations and active student participation. I break down complex scientific concepts into simple, relatable ideas and use practice questions throughout the lesson to reinforce learning and check understanding. I also adapt my teaching style to suit each student, whether they need more visual explanations, step-by-step guidance, or exam-focused practice. My lessons typically last around 60 minutes, allowing enough time to review content, work through examples, and consolidate learning. I studied at Haberdashers’ Girls’ School, where I achieved three A grades at A-level, and I use this strong academic background to support students effectively. I tutor GCSE and below science, working with students of varying abilities to help them improve their knowledge, exam technique, and overall confidence in the subject.
